I used to work as an IT administrator at the University of Oregon. Many days included long walks meandering in and out of buildings, considering the paradoxes of life. During my time on campus I witnessed a new facade emerge as athletic design concepts made their way into the architectural language of the institution.
To think a shoe originally made on a waffle iron would lead to towering steal and glass structures suspended in the sky. More evidence that in this world everything is connected. These photographs are a slice of a project spanning a decade photographing the University of Oregon.
